So with the Republicans about-face on the Offshore Drilling policy earlier this week, it leaves me wondering as to what the real reason is. After all this is a HUGE policy shift after years and years of being vehemently opposed to it. They continue to claim that it has nothing to do with the current oil economy, as it won’t really affect the price of gas at the pump. So why the big shift all of a sudden? What is the real reason behind this move? And why all of a sudden are we seeing different political moves with the Iranian government than in the past 20-30 years?
