Since I probably won’t get a chance between now and Thursday to post, I may as well wish everyone a Happy Turkey day now. Drive safely to wherever it is you are headed and don’t eat to the point you have to undo your pants. Have fun tactfully avoiding the foods you hate but someone always insists on making a ton of it and be different and don’t go shopping on “Black Friday” with everyone else and their mothers. Relax and enjoy the time away from work. Unplug, disconnect, and stay away from the crowds.

This video is very important for all parents of toddlers to watch. We recently moved our 4 year old to a booster seat using the seat belt. She loved it and thought she was such a big girl. I questioned my wife if it was safe to move her to a seat that didn’t use the harness. After seeing this video, I will be going out to the garage to put her original car seat back in. The good thing is the Britax Marathon car seats we got for our kids are good to at least 75 or 80 pounds.

I lived in Texas for about 2 years. In that time, I witnessed more than my share of fanatic football fans, whether it was Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Baylor, or the Cowboys. You pretty much expect to see that in Texas as that is the sterotype. They eat, sleep, and breathe football from PeeWees and High school up to College and the Pros.
We moved to Columbus, Ohio just over a year ago and I never in a million years would have expected to see a bigger display of football fanaticism outside of Texas. Read more »

Ok, I still have yet to understand why it is that a publicly tax funded agency calls on me to solicit donations? Don’t I already pay them enough in my taxes and speeding tickets? They follow me wherever I move to. I got regular calls from them back in Chicago and now I am getting the calls here in Columbus. They always have tough sounding guys make the calls to intimidate you into donating, too. That is pretty low of them. Read more »

Well, for anyone who actually pays attention to my blog, you may have noticed it has been a blank white page for awhile. Unfortunately, when doing an upgrade to my server a couple months ago, it created some minor problems as my PHP install was bumped to version 5. Some of the plugins on my original blog engine did not play so nicely and hence the blank page with no content. Read more »
